Oklahoma Bowl Game History

Oklahoma has frequented the college football postseason throughout its history. The Sooners have played in 56 bowls all-time.

The Sooners made their first bowl appearance in 1939 as part of the Big Six Conference. They lost to Tennessee 17-0 at the Orange Bowl that year.

Oklahoma has qualified for a bowl every year since the 1999 NCAAF season. The Sooners most recently appeared in the 2022 Cheez-It Bowl against Florida State. OU was defeated 35-32 in the closing moments of that contest.
