NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award Odds: Dak Prescott a Commanding Favorite on FanDuel Sportsbook

The NFL's Comeback Player of the Year award is always a favorite for fans and players across the league. Oftentimes, the award is won by players embarking on a courageous return from injury. For example, Alex Smith of the Washington Football Team won the award in 2020 after overcoming serious leg injuries that eventually led to life-threatening complications in 2018.

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott opens up as the favorite (+200) to take home the award in 2021, according to the latest NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook. Prescott faced his own serious injury, although no major complications ensued, when he dislocated and fractured his right ankle in Week 5 of the 2020 season. He'll look to bounce back with a fully healthy campaign in 2021.

Carolina Panthers dynamic running back Christian McCaffrey, Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow and New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley all sit tied with the second-best odds to take home the award at +700. Both Burrow and Barkley look to return from major ACL injuries while McCaffrey was held to just three games with a bevy of injuries last season.

Another common thread of NFL players to win this award comes from players receiving a boost after a change of scenery. That certainly applies to new Indianapolis Colts QB Carson Wentz, who ranks fifth with his +1000 odds after being traded by the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason.
