Michigan Bowl Game History

Michigan has frequented the college football postseason throughout its history. The Wolverines have played in 50 bowls all-time.

The Wolverines made their first bowl appearance in 1902 as part of the Western Conference. They blew out Stanford 49-0 at the Rose Bowl that year.

Michigan has only missed four bowl games since the 2000 NCAAF season. The Wolverines' last appearance came at the 2022 Fiesta Bowl, where they fell 51-45 to TCU in that CFP semifinal.

The Wolverines have been notably poor in recent bowl games, with a brutal 1-6 record in the Jim Harbaugh era.
