Max Homa PGA Championship Prediction 2023
Max Homa has been a bit all over the place during the 2022-23 PGA Tour. He has tallied two outright wins at the Fortinet Championship and the Farmers Insurance Open, but he has also failed to post a top-40 finish in three of his last four appearances. Homa enters this weekend lacking consistency.
More 2023 PGA Championship betting content from The Duel:
While Homa has shown he is capable of outperforming the rest of the field, he now faces a course that could give him some trouble. Oak Hill features smaller greens and severe bunkers, meaning how a golfer sets himself up off the tee will be important. Homa ranks 64th in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee.
I find myself avoiding Homa from a betting perspective in Rochester. He is much too volatile to trust to stay toward the top of the leaderboard and has only logged a top-40 finish in one of his four PGA Championship appearances. Shying away from the juiced odds (-135) is the way to go this time.
