Lamar Jackson Tweets After Greg Roman's Firing

Updated:

Lamar Jackson enters this offseason without a contract and so far has been unable to come to a long-term agreement on one with the Baltimore Ravens. As if that wasn't dramatic enough, the Ravens also took away his offensive coordinator by firing Greg Roman on Thursday.

With everyone wondering what is on Jackson's mind heading into free agency, he took to Twitter to comment on Baltimore's search for a new OC.

While Jackson thrived under Roman's unique offense designed around him, he also flourished in a more traditional offense in college, winning the Heisman with Louisville in 2016. In other words, the Ravens don't necessarily need to find someone with a similar offensive scheme to Roman's.

That gives Baltimore more flexibility in its search and suggests Jackson is open to playing in a more conventional offense. Thankfully for the Ravens, there are plenty of coordinators available after the recent wave of firings, many of whom would love the chance to draw up plays for Jackson.
