Lamar Jackson Prepares For Next Step in Recovery With Latest Injury Update
Updated:
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been out since Week 13 when he sustained a sprained knee injury. While he has missed the last two games (and is set to miss his third straight in Week 16), Jackson is taking steps toward recovery.
Lamar Jackson Injury Update
After not attending or participating in practice since his injury, Jackson will test his ankle this week in practice to see if it can handle football-related moves. If all goes well and he's able to practice, then he is expected to try and play.
With the Ravens fighting for the AFC North title and seeding within the playoffs, the makeup of the AFC standings could impact Jackson's return date.
If the Ravens have their seeding or spot in the division locked up before Jackson returns they could choose to hold him out longer or until the playoffs. But with just three games remaining and a one-game deficit in the division, the Ravens' playoff fate could come down to the final week.
Baltimore is a 6.5-point favorite in Week 16 against the Atlanta Falcons, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
