Kirk Cousins Has Worst Record in Monday Night Football History After Week 16 Loss to Packers

In the NFL, many might see a single result as random, and label five of the same result as the beginning of a trend. However, it's safe to say that a perfect nine-for-nine of the same result is something we can call a pattern.

Unfortunately for Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings, those nine consistent results are his career losses in all nine of his appearances on "Monday Night Football," most recently updated by a 23-10 home loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 16.

Kirk Cousins Monday Night Football Record

Since Cousins entered the league in 2012, he has now fallen to an 0-9 career record in "Monday Night Football" games. He has lost two of those nine MNF games with the Vikings in this season alone, and he has gone 0-3 in MNF games with the Vikings and 0-6 in MNF games with the Washington Redskins.

His team's most recent loss to the Packers also now makes Cousins the only quarterback in NFL history to lose all nine of his first appearances on MNF, leaving him with the worst MNF football record in NFL history as well.

Kirk Cousins Primetime Record

Cousins' struggles haven't been limited to the MNF arena either, as he hasn't performed well against teams with winning records, nor in primetime. Cousins has also fallen to a 7-15 record in primetime games over his career.

Overall, Cousins still has a winning record as a starter in the NFL at 44-42-2, but these failures on the biggest stages will likely follow him for the remainder of his career.
