Justin Thomas U.S. Open Prediction 2023

Justin Thomas' U.S. Open history is all over the place. On one hand, he's placed between T8 and T25 in four of his last six entries. On the other hand, his performances have been heading in the wrong direction over the last three years, culminating with a T37 finish in 2022.

More 2023 U.S. Open coverage on The Duel:

Thomas' 2023 performances also make it tough to predict how he'll perform this week. He didn't perform well at either of the first two major events, missing the cut and placing T65 at the Masters and PGA Championship, respectively. He also failed to make the cut most recently at the Memorial Tournament, finishing with a 75 in both Rounds 1 and 2.

I can't recommend anything more than Justin Thomas making the cut at -192 odds. He's been too volatile lately — especially at major events — to even predict a top-40 finish. I see him surviving the four-day journey, but it's best to keep expectations low regarding a noteworthy performance.
