Jets' Playoff Odds Grow Longer Following Week 16 Loss

Updated:

Zach Wilson reverted to his old ways and delivered a horrendous performance in Week 16 against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football, sinking the New York Jets in a 19-3 loss. Wilson was 9-for-18 for 92 yards and 1 interception before being replaced by Chris Streveler.

The Jets have fallen apart after a great start to their season, losing four straight games. They're now in last place in the AFC East at 7-8 and are on the outside looking in regarding the playoff picture.

New York Jets Playoff Odds

Following New York's Week 16 loss, the Jets are at +880 to make the playoffs and -1800 to miss the playoffs on FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.

The oddsmakers paint a pretty clear, and bleak, picture of New York's chances to make the postseason. The Jets will have to win out and get a whole bunch of help from other teams if they're going to have any chance of snagging a Wild Card berth, as winning the division is now mathematically impossible.

One thing that won't help that cause is the poor play of Wilson, who many will blame if the team fails to make the playoffs.

New York will try to get back to .500 in Week 17 against the Seattle Seahawks on the road. The Jets are currently listed as 1.5-point underdogs on FanDuel Sportsbook's Week 17 NFL odds.
