3 Hardest Games on the Eagles Schedule in 2022

Updated:

It's been largely downhill for the Philadelphia Eagles since winning Super Bowl LII. They've won just one of their four postseason games since then and hope to change their fortunes during the 2022 NFL season.

The good news for Eagles fans is that they have an extremely favorable schedule, ranking third-easiest, according to ESPN's Mike Clay. Having said that, they do have a fair share of opponents that could provide quite the challenge.

Here's a look at the three hardest games on the Eagles' schedule in 2022.

Philadelphia Eagles Schedule 2022

1. @ Dallas Cowboys

The Eagles and Dallas Cowboys have one of the more well-known rivalries in the NFL, but it's been the latter that's dominated recently. The Eagles have dropped seven of their last nine games against the Cowboys and haven't beaten them since November 2020. Meanwhile, Dallas enters the 2022 campaign after leading the entire league with 30.4 points per game last season. That's going to be a lot for Philadelphia to handle, especially after finishing with the 19th-ranked scoring defense.

2. vs. Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers has owned many teams over his illustrious career, including the Eagles. The four-time NFL MVP is 4-1 in five career starts against Philadelphia, putting up at least 300 yards and two touchdown passes in three of the last four matchups. Furthermore, the Packers have outscored the Eagles a combined 137-83 in their last four meetings, which shows just how badly Green Bay has had Philadelphia's number as a team.

3. vs. Tennessee Titans

Even though the Tennessee Titans lost A.J. Brown this offseason, they're still back-to-back AFC South champions and deserve respect. They've also dominated the Eagles in recent history, winning five of the last six matchups between the two teams. Philadelphia actually had a top-10 run defense last season and all eyes will be on the team to see how it handles Derrick Henry. It'll be a tough test for the Eagles to defeat the Titans, but it'll be more than rewarding if they walk out with the victory.
