Race 12 is the $250,000 Grade 3 Holy Bull Stakes for 3-year-olds at 1 1/16 miles. The numberFire data projects the favorite Cyclone Mischief (2/1) to win ahead of Legacy Isle (7/2) and Mr. Bob (10/1). Several of the 8 runners entered in here exit the Mucho Macho Man Stakes run 5 weeks ago.
Legacy Isle will go to the front, but he lacks late-race stamina that is needed to move forward after he crossed the finish line first in the 1-mile Mucho Macho Man Stakes but was disqualified to second place for interference in the deep stretch.
Cyclone Mischief was most impressive in his nearly 6-length win here a month ago and top speed figure (101). The well-bred son of Into Mischief showed strong BRIS Pace/Speed Rating Figures throughtout. No value in win betting, but still a top contender.
Lord Miles (4/1) finished a hard-charging 3rd in that race just a half length behind Legacy Isle. Lord Miles has a rider change to the meet's top jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr. for the meets leading trainer Saffie Joseph, Jr,. who also conditions West Coast Cowboy (12/1).
Mr. Bob is a top longshot pick with strong stretch rider Joel Rosario taking over. Mr Bob went to his knees at the start and was steadied and unable to press as preferred when finishing 6th in the Mucho Macho Man at half these odds.
Rocket Can (7/2) is a win contender who faced tougher runners last summer before breaking his maiden over a sloppy surface at the end of October. That experience and track surface can benefit him off his close second place finish and improved speed in an Allowance race at this distance a month later at Churchill Downs.
