Future MLB All-Star Game Locations by Year After Seattle 2023 (And How Are They Picked?)
Updated:
The baseball world is buzzing as 2023 MLB All-Star Week approaches. All eyes will be on Seattle, Washington, as the sports mecca hosts festivities once again.
However, that hasn't stopped from wondering about where MLB All-Star is headed next. Here's everything you need to know about the future schedule of MLB All-Star locations.
How is the MLB All-Star Game Location Chosen?
A wide range of venues have held the MLB All-Star Game throughout the event's history. In fact, just one team (the Tampa Bay Rays) has never hosted.
MLB's decision process for All-Star Game locations is subjective, with some special factors -- like a historic milestone or new ballpark opening -- being seriously considered. Venues/cities that haven't hosted in recent memory also tend to be favored, as Major League Baseball likes variety for the Midsummer Classic.
National League venues have hosted the MLB All-Star Game 47 times in the event's history, while American League ballparks have hosted 45 times. Cleveland Stadium and old Yankee Stadium own the record for most All-Star Games held with four each. New York City has hosted the most ASGs ever with nine across five different venues.
Future MLB All-Star Game Locations After 2023
MLB has planned, or is in the process of determining, three future locations for the All-Star Game after Seattle.
The 2024 MLB ASG has been awarded to the Texas Rangers, who will host at their home of Globe Life Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The 2026 All-Star Game venue is also already decided, as it will be held at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The same can't be said for the 2025 ASG, however, as its host is TBD.
Fenway Park and Wrigley Field are rumored to be in the mix for 2025 hosting duties, though no decision has been announced yet. However, the Toronto Blue Jays, Baltimore Orioles and Atlanta Braves have also been linked in some capacity to the 2025 ASG, so MLB has plenty of options to consider.
