Giants Week 1 Opponent for 2023 Season
The New York Giants' Week 1 matchup for the 2023 campaign takes place at home against the rival Dallas Cowboys. Last season, they opened with a road game against the Tennessee Titans. It was an extremely close game, but the Giants prevailed in the end, walking out with a 21-20 victory.
Giants' 2023 Strength of Schedule
According to Sharp Football Analysis, the Giants have the 14th-hardest schedule in the NFL for the 2023-24 campaign. This is based on the projected win totals of New York's opponents for the upcoming season. The Giants will face an interesting task given their upcoming slate, as just six teams made the playoffs last year with a top-16 schedule in terms of difficulty.
The Giants' 2023-24 opponents went a combined 123-113-1 last season. They'll face a quartet of teams in the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, and Buffalo Bills that won at least 12 games during the 2022-23 campaign.

FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds currently list the Giants at 7.5 wins, with -122 on the over and +100 on the under. New York amassed a total of nine wins last season — its first time surpassing 7.5 victories since the 2016 campaign.
The Giants played like a much-improved team under head coach Brian Daboll last season — at least in the first half. They got off to a 7-2 start before going 2-5-1 down the stretch. Having said that, the Giants still made the playoffs and will only get better from that experience. Nine of their games in 2023 are against teams that had .500 or worse records last year, so there will be plenty of opportunities for the Giants to pad their win total.
Bet – Giants: Over 7.5 Wins (-122)
In the Super Bowl market, the Giants currently are tied (with the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos) for the 18th-best odds at +4500. Those odds are second-worst among NFC East teams, only sitting ahead of the Washington Commanders (+6000).
