FanDuel Fantasy Golf Picks for the Travelers Championship 2023 at TPC River Highlands

The U.S. Open is officially behind us and now the PGA Tour (and some LIV players) are heading to Cromwell, CT for the Travelers Championship, an event that is quickly becoming a popular stop amongst players.

Let's take a look at three golfers to consider when putting together your fantasy team this week.

Travelers Championship 2023 Fantasy Picks

Scottie Scheffler Fantasy

Scottie Scheffler has been the most consistent player on Tour this season. The No. 1 player in the world hasn't finished outside the top five in his last five starts, has only finished outside the top 25 in one of his 17 official starts, and has 13 top-10 finishes to boot. He finished third at the U.S. Open this past week on some of the toughest course conditions and against the most elite field, so it's just a matter of time before he breaks through again and gets a win.

Scheffler has also improved his standing at the Travelers Championship every year he's played in it. He missed the cut in 2020, then finished T47 in 2021 before improving to T13 last year. Expect this trend to continue.

Xander Schauffele Fantasy

Schauffele hasn't been quite as consistent as Schellfer, but he's on a pretty good run right now. Over his last nine starts beginning at THE PLAYERS Championship, Shauffele has eight finishes inside the top 20, which includes four top-5 finishes or better.

One area he does hold an advantage over Scheffler is in his past performances at the Travelers Championship. Schauffele has finished inside the top 20 in three of his four career starts at TPC River Highlands and he is also the defending champion here. I expect his great play to continue here this week.

Rickie Fowler Fantasy

There was a time not too long ago when Rickie Fowler was considered the best player in the world to never win a major. Then a really tough few years set in. However, Fowler has gotten off to a great start in 2023 and we are starting to see the level of play we became accustomed to earlier in his career. He comes into this event on a run of three straight top-10 finishes, which includes a T5 at the U.S. Open last week.

Granted, Fowler hasn't made the cut here in his last two chances. But with his game looking the best it has in years, we could see him surprise people once again this week. If the old Fowler is back for good, contending this week wouldn't be a surprise at all.
