Cardinals Get Huge Marquise Brown Injury Update in Week 11
Updated:
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown was lighting it up to start the season, especially with DeAndre Hopkins still working his way back from suspension. Then he suffered a foot injury that landed him on the IR after Week 6.
Marquise Brown Injury Update
Brown's injury was at first thought to be potentially season-ending. That notion quickly faded, but he was still expected to miss most of the season.
That changed on Wednesday, however, when the Cardinals unexpectedly opened his 21-day practice window, clearing him to return from the IR.
Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said there's even a chance that Brown could play on Monday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers, which would be a remarkable turnaround time.
So while Brown's status for Week 11 is still up in the air, he's getting close to a return. Arizona should be excited to see what the offense looks like with both Hopkins and Brown out there at the same time -- something that hasn't happened yet. With James Conner back from injury as well, the Cardinals could be poised to finally take off in the second half after a rough 4-6 start.
With quarterback Kyler Murray expected to miss MNF, however, Arizona is listed as an 8.5-point home underdog in its NFC West clash against San Francisco on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
