Broncos vs Chargers Prediction, Odds & Best Bet for Monday Night Football Week 6

Updated:

A pair of AFC West rivals meet head-to-head on Week 6's edition Monday Night Football as the Los Angeles Chargers host the Denver Broncos. The Broncos will aim to get back to the .500 mark following back-to-back heartbreaking losses, while the Chargers will look to extend their winning streak to three games after scoring an impressive 64 points over the last two weeks.

Broncos vs Chargers Odds

According to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds, Los Angeles is a notable -230 favorite on the moneyline (4.5-point spread) in a game with an over/under of 45.5.

Which way should NFL fans be leaning in this divisional clash, and where can bettors find value?

Broncos vs Chargers Prediction and Best Bet

There's no denying that the Broncos are a mess right now, especially on offense. Denver is averaging a disappointing 15.0 points per game (No. 31 in NFL) and its red zone scoring percentage (TD only) sits at a dismal 21.4%. That is by far the worst mark in the NFL and it has cost the team multiple wins.

To make matters worse, quarterback Russell Wilson is dealing with a shoulder injury and likely won't be at 100% on Monday night. That makes it hard to believe the Broncos will be able to keep up with a Chargers' offense that is averaging 390.4 yards (No. 5 in NFL) and 24.4 points (No. 9 in NFL) per game.

Quarterback Justin Herbert has found his groove after a slow start to the year, tallying 568 passing yards, 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions over the last two weeks combined. Denver's defense has been solid in 2022, but it got torched for 540 yards and 4 touchdowns by Herbert across two 2021 matchups.

The Broncos are 0-5 against the spread in their last five away games, so seeing them turn it all around would be shocking. Give me the Chargers -4.5 as well as under 45.5 points to be scored. This has blowout written all over it and the under has hit in eight of LA's last nine home games against Denver.
