Best TE for Fantasy Football: 2022 Tight End Rankings

Top TE for Fantasy Football

Top tight ends will once again command a premium in 2022 fantasy football drafts. Having one of the top five finishers at the position remains a huge advantage over those that take weekly dart throws by streaming their starter.

It'll certainly cost drafters if they want to nab one of the top-tier TEs. Average draft position (ADP) data on FantasyPros shows five tight ends being taken before the end of the fifth round, so managers must have a strategy in place if they're to get one of the marquee options.

The Duel is here to help. Here's our 2022 fantasy football rankings for tight ends.

Fantasy Football Tight End Rankings 2022

20. David Njoku, Cleveland Browns

19. Austin Hooper, Tennessee Titans

18. Evan Engram, Jacksonville Jaguars

17. Robert Tonyan, Green Bay Packers

16. Irv Smith Jr., Minnesota Vikings

15. Noah Fant, Seattle Seahawks

14. Hunter Henry, New England Patriots

13. Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers

12. Dawson Knox, Buffalo Bills

11. Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears

10. Mike Gesicki, Miami Dolphins

9. Zach Ertz, Arizona Cardinals

8. Dalton Schultz, Dallas Cowboys

Dalton Schultz surprised many by clocking in at TE3 in PPR scoring last season. He ranked sixth among his peers with 104 targets, which he turned into 78 receptions (No. 3), 808 yards (No. 6) and a career-high 8 TDs (No. 5). Following that breakout, Schultz is in prime position to keep things up after the Dallas Cowboys lost top target Amari Cooper. Schultz will start the year as the No. 2 pass-catcher in this offense while Michael Gallup recovers from a torn ACL, and he could remain in that role all year long if he seizes on the opportunity in the early going. 7. Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles

3. Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons

2. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens

Mark Andrews burst onto the scene in 2021 to finish as the overall TE1. Andrews was the only tight end to finish with over 100 receptions and 1,300 yards last season, showcasing his prowess and clear connection with quarterback Lamar Jackson. The Baltimore Ravens' wide receiving corps has taken a step back heading into this year, which clears the way for Andrews to see a boatload of targets once again. 1. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs

Travis Kelce was surprisingly knocked off as the TE1 in fantasy last season after previously earning that title every year since 2016. It's not like he fell on majorly, though, as he still ended up No. 2 with 262.8 PPR points, only behind Mark Andrews (301.1) and clearly above the No. 3 Dalton Schultz (208.8). Kelce posted his fewest receptions (92) and yards (1,125) since 2017, but those marks still placed him second among his TE peers. The All-Pro talent's production could bounce back with Tyreek Hill out of the picture, making Kelce the clear-cut No. 1 option in this offense. Check out Kelce's 2022 fantasy football outlook here.
