Bengals Coach Provides Update on Joe Mixon’s Concussion Ahead of Week 14
Updated:
The Cincinnati Bengals have been without running back Joe Mixon since Week 11 when he suffered a concussion against the Pittsburgh Steelers, forcing him out of the game. Mixon has been a key contributor to the Bengals' offense this season as the team's top running back, helping them to an 8-4 record and a tie atop the AFC North heading into Week 14.
Joe Mixon Injury Update
Head Coach Zac Taylor claims that Mixon is looking good and "everything is positive right now" as the team prepares for its Week 14 divisional matchup with the Cleveland Browns. Mixon still has to be officially cleared from concussion protocol after a contact practice before he can suit up, but he seems to be trending in the right direction.
The 26-year-old Pro Bowler has been Cincinnati's leading rusher this year with 605 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns on the ground while adding a career-high 314 yards and 2 scores through the air.
Getting Mixon back would be a huge boost for the Bengals as they try to extend their four-game winning streak. Cincy is currently listed as a 6.5-point home favorite over Cleveland according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
