3 Best Prop Bets for Nuggets vs Suns Game 3 on May 5 (Devin Booker Continues His Streak)

3 Best Prop Bets for Nuggets vs Suns Game 3 on May 5 (Devin Booker Continues His Streak)

Updated:

Friday's NBA Playoffs slate includes a pivotal Game 3 showdown between the Denver Nuggets and Phoenix Suns. Denver was able to take care of business at home in the first two games of the series, which now shifts to Phoenix for Games 3 and 4.

Here are three of the best prop bets for Suns-Nuggets Game 3, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Nuggets vs Suns Game 3 Player Props

1. 2 or More 3-Point Field Goals Made in First Three Minutes: No (-114)

This is an interesting and different prop bet, but one that evidence says probably won't cash. This prop hit in Game 2, but not in Game 1. Even in Game 1, only 3 3-point attempts were made in the first three minutes combined between both teams. When it hit in Game 2, it just barely hit with 2 3-point shots made. Furthermore, Denver and Phoenix have combined for just 36 made 3-pointers over the first two games of this series combined. That averages out to 18 threes per game, 4.5 per quarter, and 1.125 per every 3 minutes, giving this bet real value at -114 odds.

2. Devin Booker First Basket Scorer (+440)

Devin Booker has now been the game's first basket scorer for four consecutive games dating back to the Suns' series with the Los Angeles Clippers. While Kevin Durant is Phoenix's best player, it's clear the Suns' offense still runs through Booker as Durant is still trying to get his feet wet in Phoenix and gel with his new teammates. Booker also has that added chemistry with point guard Chris Paul, so bank on Booker extending his streak to five straight on Friday with another opening bucket.

3. 0 Dunks in the 1st Quarter 12:00-9:00 (-115)

Another quirky prop bet here, this one hit in Game 1 while Game 2 had just 1 dunk off a Deandre Ayton alley-oop. This pick is based on the personnel of both teams, as neither starting lineup has a classic big man who hangs out near the basket and throws it down. Unless there's an unguarded fast break, we're probably not going to see a dunk in the first three minutes of the game.
