3 Best Prop Bets to Make for the 2023 NBA Draft on FanDuel Sportsbook (Take Advantage of Moving Draft Board)

Updated:

The 2023 NBA Draft is here, which means the best college, international and domestic prospects are preparing to hear their names called and find out what city they will call home next.

2023 NBA Draft Date, Time & TV Channel

The 2023 NBA Draft is set for Thursday, June 22, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. Coverage will be aired on both ESPN and ABC, although only ESPN will show both Rounds 1 and 2. The Draft will also be available on streaming via ESPN+.

The Draft is now another event fans can wager on, and FanDuel Sportsbook is offering tons of different types of bets on Thursday night.

It will be no surprise when Victor Wembanyama's name is called as the No. 1 overall pick by the San Antonio Spurs, which currently has -50000 odds. However, even in the last 24 hours, there have been plenty of rumors and shakeups as to who will be selected by the Charlotte Hornets with the No. 2 overall pick with both Scoot Henderson and Brandon Miller in the mix there.

Let's take a look at three bets on FanDuel Sportsbook for you to consider taking on Thursday night.

Best 2023 NBA Draft Prop Bets

1. Dereck Lively II Top-10 Pick (-140)

The Duke big man has been rising up draft boards and in the odds here. Originally projected to be a pick in the mid-to-late teens, Lively now projects in some places as high as No. 8. With the Washington Wizards, Utah Jazz and Dallas Mavericks at Nos. 8, 9 and 10, respectively, all of whom need depth and talent along the front line, it presents a perfect opportunity for Lively to go off the board in the first 10 picks.

2. Bilal Coulibaly Draft Position: Under 11.5 (-205)

Bilal Coulibaly is the forgotten international prospect and teammate of Victor Wembanyama, but he deserves recognition. His numbers aren't as impressive as Wembanyama's, obviously, but his ceiling is still incredibly high, and NBA teams have been taking note of late. Just a month or two ago, Coulilbaly was projected in the late teens or early 20s, but now almost every scout projects him in the late lottery. You have teams like the Utah Jazz, Dallas Mavericks and Orlando Magic sitting there, all of whom have had experience and success with drafting international talent in the past.

3. Brandon Miller No. 2 Overall Pick (+145)

As of Thursday afternoon, the odds and rumors now suggest that it will be Scoot Henderson at this pick, but the fit in Charlotte makes far more sense with Miller. The Hornets already have LaMelo Ball in place at point guard -- the same position as Scoot. Miller fills a glaring need for the Hornets as a true two-way athletic wing that can create offense both with and without the ball. He could be the perfect running mate alongside Ball to be the foundation for the Hornets' future. Charlotte and the odds have been fickle enough to take a bit of a flyer here, especially with the smoke and mirrors that can happen on Draft Day.
