Rocket Mortgage Classic Field and Course
Perhaps the best-ever field for the 2023 event with eight of the top-30 and 14 of the top 50 players in the World Golf Rankings teeing it up at the Detroit Golf Club on Thursday. That includes Max Homa, who has finished top-25 in each of the last two years on the Donald Ross design at Detroit Golf Club.
Rocket Mortgage Classic Picks & Predictions
Despite missing the cut in his two recent events, Max has a pair of top-10's since early May along with a top-10 at The Players Championship.
Homa ranks No. 2 in the field in strokes gained Putting on Poa, and No. 2 in SG: Total with added strength in Tee-to-Green, Ball Striking Short Game, Off-the-Tee, and Approach - all top 20 over his last 50 rounds. Homa also ranks highly (top-3) in Proximity to hole from 125-150, which will be a bigger part of the approach plan this week. Add in top-5 in Birdies or Better Gained, and Max looks like money this week.
Pick: Max Homa to Win (+1800) and/or Top-10 Finish
