WNBA Finals: Game 4 Betting Picks

After two games of domination, the WNBA Finals finally swung the other way in Game 3 to make this a series.

The Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty will face off in Game 4 on Wednesday night in what is sure to be another story-filled evening.

For the second-straight game, the Aces will have a chance to lock in back-to-back championships with a victory. Let's take a look at the best betting picks for the night.

WNBA Finals Game 3 Betting Picks

New York Liberty -5.5 (-108)

The Liberty flipped the switch in Game 3 when they got to the Barclays Center, taking down the Aces 87-73.

They need to win again to keep their season (and title hopes) alive, and based on how this series has gone, laying 5.5 points feels like the way to go if you believe they're winning.

Las Vegas will officially be without star Chelsea Gray as well as Kiah Stokes, adding to Candace Parker who has been out for quite some time now. Gray and Stokes will both be out with foot injuries. The loss of Gray is a major one; she has been a key cog in their machine for the past two seasons.

She was averaging 15.6 points per game in the playoffs. Her importance to the Aces trio in the front court will be felt throughout the lineup. Ultimately, this is going to be a rough loss that A'ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum, and Jackie Young will have to pick up.

To go along with the loss of Gray for the Aces, every game of this series has gone to the home team -- and by a heavy margin.

The WNBA Finals has yet to have a real nail-biter with the final scores being a difference 17, 28, and 14. It only makes sense to ride with the Liberty; going to the series-deciding Game 5 this weekend feels inevitable.

Kelsey Plum Over 23.5 Points (+100)

With Chelsea Gray out for Game 4, someone is going to need to step up. Let's look at Kelsey Plum for that one.

The guard is averaging 19.8 points in the playoffs overall, so the 23.5 points may sound high, but she's shown that on the biggest stage of the WNBA, she delivers.

Plum has scored at least 23 points in each of the three games in the WNBA Finals thus far, including a 29-point outing in the Aces' loss to the Liberty -- the same game that Gray injured her foot. It plays to the idea that it will be Plum who is leaned on even more to make offense happen, and the Aces' spread shows they'll still be able to compete.

The 29-year-old is averaging 3.4 three-pointers per game while shooting 44.2% from the field and 42.9% beyond the arc. New York has shown little ability to cover or stop Plum, so why should we expect that to change now?

Out of all the over/unders on points, this feels like the best bet of the bunch for Game 4.

Sabrina Ionescu Over 2.5 Total Three-Pointers Made (-142)

The Liberty win when Sabrina Ionescu is on her game -- especially from deep.

The record holder for most three-pointers in a single season will look to get going from beyond the arc after finally finding her stroke in Game 3.

In the first two games of the series, Ionescu had hit just 3 total three-pointers after averaging 3.6 threes per game in the regular season. Finally in Game 3, she was hitting them like she was in the regular season, going 3-of-7 from deep. The gameplan didn't ride through Ionescu, whose only points were the nine she got from distance, but if that's the role she is taking, then so be it.

The 2.5-triple total allows us plenty of optimism with her track record. With the comfort of home, no Chelsea Gray, and a desperate need to win, Ionescu should be able to get enough looks from her range to make a difference.

She's shooting the best from three-point range of anyone on the Liberty (39.7%), so she's going to take those shots -- even if she's taken a backseat to let others score. A breakout feels like it is coming for her in a moment like this.
