The Washington Wizards and Phoenix Suns meet head-to-head in Summer League action on Sunday. Washington dropped a close opening game against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday by a score of 105-99. The duo of Jordan Shakel and Jordan Goodwin posted 44 points (14-for-27 shooting).

Meanwhile, the Suns picked apart the Los Angeles Lakers en route to a 104-84 victory on Friday. It was a balanced effort as 13 different players scored at least one bucket. McKinley Wright IV stole the show with his near triple-double, though. He finished with 8 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists.

Wizards vs Suns Prediction & Pick

Washington simply showed no signs of defensive improvement during their first game, allowing the Pistons to shoot 55.0% from the floor and 48.3% from beyond the arc. Facing a Suns roster filled with playmakers capable of creating their own shot is not going to be any easier for the Wizards.

What stuck out most about Phoenix's opening win was the fact that it out-rebounded LA 51-37. Three different players finished with at least 7 boards and the team's 12 offensive rebounds led to a number of second chance points. Look for Olivier Sarr and Duop Reath's size to be the difference here.

I'll trust the Suns to keep their momentum going and cover the -4.5 spread (-106).
