When Was the Giants' Last Playoff Win? (Full Postseason History, Record and Results)
Updated:
The New York Giants rank 8th all-time amongst NFL franchises with an impressive 49 playoff appearances. But, how have the Giants fared throughout their playoff history? Overall they own just a 24-25 record in those postseason appearances, but in the last two decades they've made their playoff runs count.
Here's a look at the Giants' playoff history.
When Did the New York Giants Win Their Last Playoff Game?
The Giants' most recent win in the NFL Playoffs was back in the 2011 season, when they defeated the New England Patriots, 21-17, in the Super Bowl on February 5, 2012. The franchise has only made one other playoff appearance since that title.
But, the Giants are back in the postseason after a lengthy absence and they'll take on the NFC's No. 3 seed Minnesota Vikings during Wild Card Weekend. For now, FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds show the G-Men as slim 3-point road underdogs.
While we know New York's last Super Bowl title came in 2011, how has the franchise fared in other Super Bowl appearances?
When Was the New York Giants' Last Super Bowl Win?
The last time the Giants won the Super Bowl was during the 2011 season. This was just four years after they beat the Patriots (again) during the 2007 Super Bowl.
New York has made five appearances in the Super Bowl since the first one was played in 1967. The franchise is 4-1 when they reach the championship game.
