When Was the Dolphins' Last Playoff Win? (Full Postseason History, Record and Results)
Updated:
In contention for one of the most decorated teams in NFL history, the Miami Dolphins have 20 playoff games throughout their 57-year history. But, we all know the NFL and NFL fans care about recent results, something the Dolphins have struggled with since 2000.
Here's a look at the Dolphins' playoff history.
When Did the Miami Dolphins Win Their Last Playoff Game?
The Miami Dolphins' most recent playoff win dates all the way back to the 2000 season, when they took on the Indianapolis Colts during the Wild Card Round. Miami booked a 23-17 overtime victory on December 30, 2000 before dropping to the Oakland Raiders in the Divisional Round.
Miami has made just four playoff appearances since that 2000 win (including this season), losing in the Wild Card Round each year. This included the 2001, 2008 and 2016 playoffs.
Their next opportunity for a win is a tall task, facing the AFC 2-seed Buffalo Bills in this year's Wild Card Round. FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds show Miami as 13.5-point underdogs.
When Was the Miami Dolphins' Last Super Bowl Win?
The last time the Dolphins were in a Super Bowl was the second of their two franchise championships. The most recent time was in 1973 when Miami capped off back-to-back titles. The previous year was Miami's magical 17-0 season when the Dolphins also won the Super Bowl.
Since that last Super Bowl win, however, Miami has a disappointing 12-19 record in playoff games.
