Davis is on track to return to the Lakers' lineup very soon. He continues to ramp up his on-court work, most recently playing a full-contact scrimmage with his teammates. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports AD could suit up as early as this week if all goes well.

It sounds like Los Angeles won't have to wait long to get Davis back. The Lakers will play twice at home before heading on a five-game road trip that begins Saturday in Boston. Davis appears to have a great chance to travel with the team and potentially rejoin them during this time.

LA, which is currenly No. 12 in the Western Conference, has certainly missed the All-NBA big man. He's sat out 19 straight straight contests since suffering a bone spur and stress reaction in his right foot. The Lakers are hovering just above .500 during this time, and Davis' return would be a massive boost to this team as it hopes to make up ground in the west.

Davis has been absolutely dominant when healthy, averaging 27.4 points and 12.1 rebounds per game. His arrival, coupled with the on-fire play from LeBron James and a mini-resurgence from Russell Westbrook, should help get Los Angeles right back into the playoff mix.
