Week 2 Monday Night Football Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Titans vs Bills

Week 2 Monday Night Football Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Titans vs Bills

Updated:

A pair of AFC contenders meet head-to-head on Monday Night Football in Week 2 as the Buffalo Bills host the Tennessee Titans. FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds list the Bills as 9.5-point home favorites in a game that is full of playmakers on both sides of the football.

If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's our start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 2 AFC showdown.

Robert Woods Fantasy

Start Robert Woods, WR, Tennessee Titans: Outside of running back Derrick Henry, it's hard to trust anyone on the Tennessee Titans right now. Rookie Kyle Phillips saw a team-high 9 targets in Week 1, but he hasn't bee practicing due to a shoulder injury. That leaves slot position reps potentially open for Week 2 and Robert Woods is the most suitable candidate to take them on. The Bills gave up 128 yards to Cooper Kupp in Week 1 and most of those came from short-yardage routes over the middle of the field. Look for Tennessee to attack Buffalo's defense with a similar game plan on Monday night.

Devin Singletary Fantasy

Start Devin Singletary, RB, Buffalo Bills: The Bills got whatever they wanted in the Week 1 passing game, which left running back Devin Singletary in the shadows from a fantasy football perspective. He finished with 62 yards on 10 touches and 8.2 PPR fantasy points. Singletary has a shot to crush that mark in Week 2, though. The Titans allowed the third-most PPR fantasy points to opposing RBs in Week 1 as they gave up a whopping 7.4 yards per rushing attempt. If the Bills get out to an early lead, as they are expected to in this game, Singletary could see upwards of 15 touches by the time the final whistle blows.

Ryan Tannehill Fantasy

Sit Ryan Tannehill, QB, Tennessee Titans: Two passing touchdowns saved what otherwise looked like a rather uninspiring performance from Ryan Tannehill in Week 1. He finished as the No. 11 QB in fantasy football, yet that doesn't mean he should be touching your starting lineup in Week 2. The Bills shut down Matthew Stafford in Week 1 and forced him to throw 3 interceptions. That performance lines up perfectly with what Buffalo did last year when it allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing QBs and posted the best pass defense DVOA rating in the NFL. Tannehill is in for a long day if Leslie Frazier's defense is firing on all cylinders again.

Dawson Knox Fantasy

Sit Dawson Knox, TE, Buffalo Bills: Dawson Knox was being selected as a borderline TE1 in many fantasy football leagues this fall, especially after signing a sizable contract extension with Buffalo. He failed to live up to those expectations in Week 1 as he hauled in just 1 of his 2 targets for 5 yards. Seeing that output improve in Week 2 may be asking a lot. The Titans allowed the fifth-fewest PPR fantasy points per game to opposing TEs in 2021 and held the position to 1 catch for 1 yard in Week 1. Yes, it was a touchdown catch., but Tennessee allowed only 3 touchdowns to opposing TEs in all of 2021. Keep Knox on the bench for now.
