While it appears every song Drake touches turns to gold, it also seems that every athlete or team the rapper publicly supports inevitably goes into a tailspin.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is one of the most hyped MLB prospects in quite some time, and he finally made his MLB debut in April. The Toronto Blue Jays' third baseman even got to meet his favorite artist, Drake. What could go wrong, right?

Well, apparently everything. Guerrero started his MLB career going a respectable 2-for-8, but after meeting Drake, he's gone just 2-for-15 at the plate over his last four games.

Drake may be the Raptors' "Global Ambassador," but his support has been the kiss of death for Toronto sports lately. The Toronto Maple Leafs were just eliminated from the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Toronto Raptors are trailing the Philadelphia 76ers 2-1 in the NBA Playoffs, and Guerrero is now slumping.

This should go without saying, but Drake was seen supporting all of them recently.

Drake is undeniably talented at producing hit songs, but he's also well known for writing emotional ballads like "Marvin's Room." At this point, Canada may need Drake to write another tearjerker to help Toronto sports fans soothe the pain.

At least we know the song would probably get Drake another hit, which is more than we can say for Guerrero recently.
