VIDEO: Michael Vick High School Football Highlights From 1998 are an Incredible Throwback

Missing football? How about filling the void with some highlights of an all-time great. Michael Vick was, of course, one of the most electric players in NFL history. But before he was even tearing it up at the NCAA level, he was already making plays and breaking ankles at Warwick High School.

In three years at Warwick, Vick threw for 4,846 yards and 43 touchdowns, also racking up 1,048 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground. He really started to come into his own in his senior season, when he had 10 passing touchdowns and 10 rushing touchdowns.

Vick went on to play two seasons at Virginia Tech before being selected first overall in the 2001 NFL Draft, throwing for 3,299 yards and 21 touchdowns while rushing for 1,299 yards and 17 touchdowns.

He lived up to every bit of that first-overall pick status. His 6,109 career rushing yards are the most ever for a quarterback at the NFL level, with nobody else putting up even 5,000 yards. He also developed into an adept passer, throwing for a career 22,464 yards and 133 touchdowns.
