VIDEO: Malcolm Rodriguez Absolutely Embarrassed an All-Pro Eagles Lineman

The Detroit Lions may have lost, 38-35, to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1, but Dan Campbell's squad did walk away with some personal victories. Rookie Lions linebacker and Hard Knocks standout Malcolm Rodriguez had a solid performance which included him absolutely embarrassing one of the Eagles' All-Pro offensive linemen.

Four-time All-Pro center Jason Kelce, who's used to dominating the competition, was essentially hip-tossed by Rodriguez on one play. Considering that the five-time Pro-Bowler is listed at 295 pounds on his NFL profile, Rodriguez's feat was quite impressive.

Fortunately, video of the play was shared to Twitter by CBS producer Ben Fennell.

What makes the play even more impressive is that it happened in Rodriguez's first career NFL regular-season game. The former Oklahoma State defender was a sixth-round pick by the Lions in April and ultimately played his way into a starting role for Detroit.

By the end of the game, Rodriguez finished with six total tackles, including one for a loss. Needless to say, his domination of Kelce is the highlight that stands out above the rest.

Detroit's Week 2 opponent -- the Washington Commanders -- don't have an offensive lineman on Kelce's level, but they do have guards Andrew Norwell (first-team All-Pro in 2017) and Trai Turner (five Pro Bowls). Only time will tell if Rodriguez can handle them as easily as he handled Kelce.

Commanders vs Lions Odds

FanDuel Sportsbook's Week 2 NFL odds currently list the Lions as 1.5-point home favorites over the Commanders. If Rodriguez can replicate last week's success, Detroit may come away with its first win of the season.
