Trevor Peek vs Jose Mariscal Prediction

Trevor Peek has been rising in the UFC landscape given he owns an 8-0 record and all eight of those wins have come via KO/TKO. He relies on a flurry of punches to get his foe into a vulnerable position, which is a strategy that has worked out so far. He most recently defeated Erick Gonzalez in February.

Peek's opponent on Saturday is Jose Mariscal, who is making his UFC debut on a bit of short notice. He is fresh off a KO/TKO win over Guilherme Faria de Souza at LFA 153 in February that showcased why he is nicknamed "Machine Gun." His relentless ground and pound game frustrates opponents.

This is going to be an exciting bout and one I like Peek to emerge victorious in. The 28-year-old has yet to show a reason not to trust him as his ability to exploit an opponents' weakness is elite. Mariscal has already suffered three KO/TKO losses in his career, so he will be fighting an uphill battle here.

Winner: Trevor Peek

Peek vs Mariscal Best Bet

More prop bets for this fight should be revealed closer to the weekend, so keep an eye on the odds for this fight to not go the distance. Of course, all of Peek's eight professional bouts have ended via a finish. Meanwhile, six of Mariscal's last seven fights have ended before the third round even had a chance to begin. This one has an early Peek KO victory or a late Mariscal KO victory written all over it.

Bet: Fight to Not Go the Distance (TBD)
