Top 12 Fantasy Football Defense Rankings for Week 11 (Ravens Poised to Dominate Off Bye Week)
Updated:
Defenses are usually just an afterthought in fantasy football. That's leaving points on the board though. Savvy fantasy managers will be scouring the waiver wire to capitalize on the best defensive matchups each and every week, especially with several teams on bye this week.
With that in mind, here are the top 12 fantasy football defenses for Week 11 of the 2022 NFL season.
Fantasy Football Defense Rankings Week 11
12. Chicago Bears (at ATL)
11. Las Vegas Raiders (at DEN)
10. San Francisco 49ers (at AZ)
9. Los Angeles Rams (at NO)
8. Dallas Cowboys (at MIN)
7. Baltimore Ravens (vs CAR)
The Baltimore Ravens are in a terrific spot this week coming off their Week 10 bye. Their defense is coming off one of their best games of the season after holding the New Orleans Saints to just 13 points and 243 yards of total offense in Week 9. They're also well-rested after playing just one game since Oct. 27. The Ravens will look to keep rolling at home in Week 11 against the Carolina Panthers, who have one of the worst offenses in the NFL. Carolina ranks 23rd in points per game and 30th in yards per game, teeing up Baltimore for another strong defensive effort.
6. Cincinnati Bengals (at PIT)
5. New Orleans Saints (vs LAR)
4. Denver Broncos (vs LV)
The Denver Broncos' defense has continued to play well even as the offense continues to fall apart. The Broncos have allowed more than 17 points only once in nine games this season, and that was all the way back in Week 4. Denver is giving up the fewest points per game (14.6) and second-fewest yards per game (290.4) in the NFL and has been even stingier at home, where the Broncos are surrendering just 11.8 points per game. The Las Vegas Raiders are an absolute mess right now and have been decimated by injuries to Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow on offense, so Denver should feast here against its AFC West rivals.
3. Buffalo Bills (vs CLE)
2. Philadelphia Eagles (at IND)
1. New England Patriots (vs NYJ)
Similar to the Ravens, the New England Patriots are coming off a bye and have a tantalizing home matchup against a mediocre offense. The Patriots will host the New York Jets in Week 11, who have been tormented by Bill Belichick throughout the years. That's especially true for Jets QB Zach Wilson, who's 0-3 against New England in his career with a paltry 53.6% completion rate and a 2:7 TD/INT ratio against his division rivals. The Patriots' defense has allowed 17 points or fewer in four of its last five games, including Week 8 against the Jets. Bank on Wilson having another rough day in Foxborough.
