Titans Playoff Chances, Odds & Prediction for 2022 NFL Season

Updated:
The Tennessee Titans squandered a perfect opportunity in front of their home crowd when they lost in the divisional round of the 2021 NFL Playoffs. It was another year of coming up just short for head coach Mike Vrabel's team, which now enters the 2022 season with their eyes set on the Super Bowl.
While Tennessee wasn't a big spender in free agency, it did swing big during the NFL Draft. The front office decided to trade away wide receiver A.J. Brown and draft Arkansas' Treylon Burks in the first round to take his place. It'll be interesting to see if the 22-year-old can make an immediate impact.
Let's break down the Titans' playoff chances in 2022 using odds provided by FanDuel Sportsbook.

Titans Odds to Win AFC 2022
Tennessee is being viewed by oddsmakers as a dark horse contender to represent the AFC in Super Bowl 57. The Titans own the ninth-best odds to win the AFC outright at +1500 and trail notable teams such as the reigning AFC champion Cincinnati Bengals (+1300).
Titans Super Bowl Odds 2022
As for the Lombardi Trophy, Vrabel's team is available at +3000 to win it all. Those odds rank 16th among all NFL franchises, smack dab in the middle of the Arizona Cardinals (+2800) and Minnesota Vikings (+4000).
Titans 2022 Season Prediction
This is a tough one. Tennessee has proven that they should not be underestimated, making the playoffs in four of the last five seasons. However, they have fallen short of their goal every single time and the struggles of quarterback Ryan Tannehill cannot be overlooked (14 interceptions in 2021).
A majority of the AFC found ways to improve this offseason. That is not true for the Titans, though. Brown is going to be missed in the passing attack and running back Derrick Henry only played in eight games last season. The wear and tear of being a bruiser may finally be catching up to him.
It's worth noting Tennessee also has the seventh-hardest schedule in the NFL. The Titans' playoff hopes are likely going to come down to their Week 4 & 7 matchups against the Colts. Winning the division may be their only way to secure a postseason berth in what is a loaded conference.
Titans 2022 Record Prediction: 9-8
