Tee Higgins' Mom Roasts Him on Twitter for Drops
Updated:
You have one main job as an NFL wide receiver – catch the ball. The cardinal rule is that if it hits your hands, you better haul it in. When a wide receiver drops a ball that's on target, he gets a whole lot of criticism from every angle.
In Tee Higgins case on Sunday, when he was unable to catch the ball, we saw that such criticism knows no bounds. Aside from hearing it from fans and coaches, Higgins' own mother hopped on Twitter to remind him that not catching the football is unacceptable.
Higgins even had to hop on and publicly apologize to his mom. While it might be some tough love, it's hard to argue with Higgins' mom's point. She was just reminding him of the cardinal rule.
At the end of the day, it was all in good fun as the Bengals stormed off to a thrilling victory over Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for their sixth consecutive win, which moved them back into first place in the AFC North.
The Bengals are looking forward to a Week 16 matchup with the New England Patriots, where Cincinnati is a 3.5-point road favorite, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
