Taylor Hendricks 2023 NBA Draft Profile (Combine Results, Measurements and Scouting Report for Stretch Big Man)

Updated:

UCF Bulls forward Taylor Hendricks enters the 2023 NBA Draft as one of the clear-cut top prospects available. Boasting great size with the ability to stretch the floor, the potential is there for Hendricks to make a serious impact at the next level.

Here's everything you need to know about Taylor Hendricks before the 2023 NBA Draft.

Taylor Hendricks Scouting Report and Draft Prediction

Taylor Hendricks was more than reliable as a freshman at UCF. The versatile forward averaged 15.1 points and 7.0 rebounds while hitting 39.4% of his three-point attempts. He also led his conference in total blocks (59) and blocks per game (1.7), playing a big role in his being named second-team All-AAC.

On top of his solid three-point shooting, Hendricks can also score off the dribble. Having said that, he doesn't have the best handles, so it remains to be seen if he can succeed against tougher competition. Another area that could use improvement is his aggression as some scouts have deemed him to be too passive.

I won't be shocked if Hendricks is wearing a Utah Jazz jersey this fall. The Jazz currently have eight centers/power forwards on their roster and only two are signed beyond the 2023-24 season, per Spotrac. Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler will likely stick around for some time, but the team needs more big-man options besides them.

Kessler doesn't really stretch the floor, which is another reason why bringing Hendricks in makes sense. That way, the Jazz could have a three-point shooting big whenever Markkanen needs some rest. With plenty of upside, it won't take long for Hendricks to become a fan favorite in Utah.

Prediction: Utah Jazz (Round 1, 9th overall)
