If you can dream it, you can probably bet it in Super Bowl LVI. Pretty much every prop bet under the sun is available on FanDuel Sportsbook, ranging from traditional options like player props to more unique wagers like the coin toss result.
Bengals vs Rams Super Bowl Prop Bets
One of the most fun bets available is wagering on the length of the shortest touchdown. Let's break down the odds and give a pick for this prop heading into Bengals-Rams Super Bowl LVI.
Shortest Touchdown Super Bowl Prop Bet
FanDuel Sportsbook has set the over/under for the length of the shortest touchdown at 1.5 yards. That means the under would be the winning side if there's a 1-yard touchdown in the game. The under is available at -142 while the over is juiced at +112.
Shortest Touchdown Super Bowl Prop Bet History
Recent Super Bowl history points to taking the under here. There has been at least one 1-yard touchdown in five of the last six Super Bowls, totaling either seven or eight 1-yard TDs (depending on how bookmakers ruled a Denver Broncos' defensive TD that was recovered in the end zone).
In fact, Super Bowl LIII was the only game not to feature a 1-yard score. It's hard not to view that as a bit of a fluke, though. It was the lowest-scoring game in Super Bowl history, and this prop still just barely missed, as the lone TD scored was a 2-yard run by Sony Michel.
Shortest Touchdown Super Bowl Prop Bet Prediction & Pick
This trend has been a lot less pronounced when looking at the recent history of the Bengals and Rams. Cincinnati has yet to either score or allow a 1-yard touchdown in the postseason. But Los Angeles has scored or allowed a 1-yard TD in two of its three playoff games, totaling three such scoring plays in the playoffs.
Still, the Bengals' goal-line defense was unsustainably good against Kansas City last week, stopping the Chiefs from inside the 4-yard line at the end of the first half and the end of the fourth quarter. It's hard to see that happening against this Rams' offense.
And you can't ignore the history of this trend in the last six Super Bowls. The under feels like the right side here.
