Ryan Fox Open Championship 2022 Odds, History & Predictions

Ryan Fox Open Championship 2022 Odds, History & Predictions

Updated:

The Genesis Scottish Open was the final stop on the 2022 PGA Tour before the Open Championship at the famed St. Andrews.

Legacies are made at the Open Championship, especially when it's played at arguably the most famous course in the world, and there are few things as meaningful in the golf world as winning a major tournament.

So, naturally, FanDuel Sportsbook already has tons of odds and prop bets available for the Open Championship in 2022.

Ryan Fox British Open Odds

Ryan Fox has +5500 odds to win the Open Championship in 2022. Those odds currently rank No. 24.

Has Ryan Fox Ever Won the British Open?

Fox has never won the Open Championship. His best finish came when he placed T-16 in 2019.

Ryan Fox British Open Prop Bets

As for finishing position, Fox is -105 to finish top-40, +230 to finish top-20, +550 to finish top-10 and +1000 to finish top-five.

Ryan Fox British Open History

Fox has made five Open Championship starts and missed the cut once. He only has one top-25 finish in those outings.

Fox's best single-round score in the Open Championship was a 67 in the fourth round at St Andrews in 2015 en route to a T-49 finish.

Ryan Fox British Open Prediction & Pick

Fox has been on a bit of a hot streak lately, placing second or third in four of his last seven events. Unfortunately, he hasn't experienced the same level of success at the British Open.

Aside from his T-16 performance in 2019, Fox has failed to make the cut or finished T-39 or worse in each of his other four Open Championship entries. In fact, he placed T-49 the last time the tournament was held at St Andrews.

It's just tough to trust Fox this week. He's played 54th or worse in the last two major tournaments he's entered and he'll be facing tougher competition compared to what he's accustomed to on the European Tour. Having said that, I can't recommend anything more than a T-40 finish at -105.
