Royals Reveal Exciting Uniforms for 2023

There are less than two months remaining until Kansas City Royals baseball returns to the diamond. After the team's announcement on Friday, there's even more reason to get excited about the upcoming season.

For the first time since 1991, the Royals will bring back their full powder blue uniforms in 2023. Kansas City is celebrating the 50th anniversary of this special uniform combo and will wear the all-blues on Opening Day.

The powder blue uniforms bring back some nostalgic memories for Kansas City fans. First introduced in 1973, the Royals wore them until retiring them in 1991. In recent years, the franchise teased the fanbase with powder blue tops paired with white pants.

Fans will be able to catch a glimpse of the new unis when the Royals take the field for Opening Day on Thursday, March 30th. Kansas City will host the Minnesota Twins at Kauffman Stadium with first pitch scheduled for 4:10 p.m. ET (3:10 p.m. local time).
