Rocket Can Horse Trainer and Jockey
Rocket Can is trained by the renowned Bill Mott. The two-time Outstanding Trainer winner has one Kentucky Derby win to his name after training Country House in 2019. Mott was also inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame back in 1998 despite only being 48 years old at the time.
Rocket Can's jockey for the 2023 Kentucky Derby is Junior Alvarado. The accomplished racer is looking to finally break through in this event after going 0-3 over his previous starts here. Alvarado's best finish was with Mohaymen in 2016, ending the iconic event in fourth place.
Rocket Can Race History
Rocket Can has a career record of five starts with two wins and a pair of second-place finishes. He enters the Debry following a fourth-place finish at the Arkansas Derby. Rocket Can's won one of his three races in 2023, taking first at Gulfstream Park back in February. He also won the Maiden Special Weight at Churchill Downs back in October.

Rocket Can Kentucky Derby Prediction and Pick
Rocket Can is an intriguing option for the 2023 Kentucky Derby. While his odds are far from the shortest, Bill Mott's training can't be ignored. After all, Country House was a massive underdog at 65-1 odds when he won the race, so Mott clearly knows what he's doing. Although there's a good chance that Rocket Can won't be victorious, he's at least worth a bit of consideration as an underdog.
