Updated:
The 2023 Under-20 FIFA Men's World Cup is set to begin this week and run through June 11. Similar to the regular World Cup, countries from around the world will field teams to determine who reigns supreme. This tournament consists of just 24 teams at the start and all participants are 20 years old or younger.
Beginning with the Group stage, four teams per group will battle it out to earn two spots from each of the six groups and advance to the Knockout stage. The four best third-place teams from the six groups will also advance to make up the 16 teams that go to the knockout stage. The tournament will adopt a traditional bracket format from there and eventually name a champion of the world.
