One team that's no stranger to Christmas Day action is the Phoenix Suns. Here's everything you need to know about the Suns' history on Christmas. 

Suns Christmas Game History

The NBA made its Christmas Day debut in 1947, and the holiday has been a constant part of the league's regular-season schedule ever since.

Phoenix's first Christmas appearance came in 1968. The Suns hosted the Los Angeles Lakers, but fell at home 119-99. The team returned on Dec. 25th the very next year and got its first-ever win on the holiday, defeating the Boston Celtics 127-116.

Given the success of the franchise, it's no surprise Phoenix has had a consistent presence on Christmas Day. The Suns have made 20 appearances all-time on Christmas. Their most recent Dec. 25th game was in 2022 against the Denver Nuggets, though they fell 128-125 in that one.
