The New England Patriots have their eyes on potentially making the NFL postseason for the 19th time since 2001 when they visit the Buffalo Bills in Week 18. The Patriots have a few different ways that can get them into the playoffs, making it interesting to see how the process unfolds this weekend.

What Seed Are the Patriots?

The Patriots had a clinch to clinch the No. 7 seed in the AFC playoffs on Sunday. However, their loss to the Buffalo Bills helped eliminate them from the postseason. The Miami Dolphins, who won 11-6 over the New York Jets, will instead be the 7-seed.

Who Will the Patriots Play in the Playoffs?

As the 7-seed, New England would've played the 2-seed Buffalo Bills on Wild Card Weekend. Instead, the Dolphins will play the Bills after a Pats loss helped eliminate them from the postseason.

The Patriots' first playoff matchup is not known yet. However, the NFL has already set the dates for each postseason round, giving a glimpse at potential days New England will play on.
