Nuggets Summer League: Roster, Schedule and How to Watch

One full month after the Golden State Warriors were crowned 2021-22 champions, the NBA world's attention turned towards Summer League action. With a chance to witness 2022 draft picks, second-year pros, and G League players taking advantage of an opportunity to display their skills, it's an important event on the annual basketball calendar.

Denver Nuggets Summer League

The Denver Nuggets have made the playoffs in four straight years, but can't seem to get over the hump to the NBA Finals, all with Nikola Jokić playing at an MVP level. This meant a continued effort to go back to the drawing board.

Denver acquired Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Ish Smith via trade in addition to adding DeAndre Jordan and Bruce Brown in free agency. While those players obviously won't be featured in Summer League, the Nuggets secured three new draft picks in Christian Braun (No. 21 overall), Peyton Watson (No. 30 overall) and Ismael Kamagate (No. 46 overall).

Nuggets Summer League Schedule and Results

The Nuggets will play a total of five games during 2022 NBA Summer League. This includes four scheduled contests from July 7-15, before a championship game is determined. That championship game is scheduled for July 17, while the participants are decided by winning percentage as well as tiebreakers.

Those remaining 28 teams not playing in the championship will each conclude 2022 Summer League action with a final game on either July 16 or 17.

How to Watch Denver Nuggets Summer League

As of Wednesday, July 13, the Nuggets have three more games on their NBA Summer League schedule. This includes a pair of previously scheduled matchups with the LA Clippers on July, 13 and the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday, July 15.

Must-Watch Nuggets Summer League Rookies

Kansas rookie, and the No. 21 overall draft pick, Christian Braun is the biggest player Nuggets fans will be locked in on. At 6-foot-7, he's a lengthy guard who won't necessarily light up any particular stat category, but his presence was seemingly always felt on the court with the Jayhawks.

Rookie Peyton Watson is much more of a project than Braun, as he spent just one year at UCLA with very limited impact on the court. He stands at 6-foot-8 and has an impressive 7-foot wingspan. Look for the impressive physical toolset on the defensive end, but don't expect to get a regular look at Watson until years down the line.
