NFL Power Rankings: Post-Draft Rankings, Tiers & Super Bowl Odds for All 32 Teams in 2022
Updated:
The 2022 NFL Draft is in the books, and most of the big-name free agents are off the market. We finally have a pretty good idea of what each team's roster will look like this season, so naturally, it's time to start ranking them.
Here are The Duel's post-draft power rankings, including tiers and FanDuel Sportsbook's Super Bowl odds for all 32 teams.
Super Bowl Contenders
1. Buffalo Bills
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +650 (No. 1)
The Buffalo Bills might've won the Super Bowl last year if they could've played defense for 13 seconds. Adding Von Miller should help fix that, and GM Brandon Beane plugged up most of the other holes on this roster through the Draft and free agency. This is the best team in football from top to bottom.
2. Los Angeles Rams
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +1100 (T-No. 4)
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +750 (No. 2)
4. Kansas City Chiefs
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +950 (No. 3)
5. Green Bay Packers
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +1100 (T-No. 4)
The Green Bay Packers' offense took a big step back this offseason. But the defense is stacked after adding two elite prospects in the first round of the NFL Draft. They're still going to win a lot of games this year, but the formula is a little different.
6. Cincinnati Bengals
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +2200 (T-No. 11)
7. Los Angeles Chargers
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +1600 (T-No. 6)
The Los Angeles Chargers roster always looks good this time of year. But this might finally be the season LA makes good on all its potential. Other than perhaps linebacker, this team doesn't have any holes on either side of the ball, at least on paper.
8. Denver Broncos
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +1600 (T-No. 6)
Dark-Horse Super Bowl Picks
9. Cleveland Browns
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +1900 (No. 10)
10. Baltimore Ravens
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +2200 (T-No. 11)
11. San Francisco 49ers
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +1600 (T-No. 6)
We'll have to see what happens with the ongoing Deebo Samuel situation, and we still have no idea what Trey Lance will look like in year two. Those are two pretty big question marks, but this team has sky-high potential if both situations work out.
Solid Playoff Teams
12. Indianapolis Colts
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +2200 (T-No. 11)
13. Las Vegas Raiders
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +4000 (T-No. 17)
I view the Las Vegas Raiders as the 13th-best team in football, yet they're my lowest-ranked team in the AFC West. That's a tough break. There are issues along the OL and on defense, but a top-five offense can hide a lot of problems. Still, playing in the most competitive division in football hurts LV's playoff chances.
14. Dallas Cowboys
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +1700 (No. 9)
15. Miami Dolphins
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +4000 (T-No. 17)
Fringe Playoff Contenders
16. New Orleans Saints
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +4400 (No. 21)
17. Philadelphia Eagles
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +3500 (No. 16)
18. Tennessee Titans
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +3000 (No. 15)
19. Arizona Cardinals
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +2700 (No. 14)
20. New England Patriots
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +4000 (T-No. 17)
It's hard to know what to make of the New England Patriots. For the first time in the Bill Belichick era, this team doesn't seem to have a clear plan in mind. They're not Super Bowl contenders, but they don't have much blue-chip young talent, either. They'll win somewhere between 7 and 10 games, and it's difficult to see them ending up too far above or below either number.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +8000 (T-No. 23)
22. Minnesota Vikings
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +4000 (T-No. 17)
Rebuilding Teams
23. New York Jets
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +15000 (T-No. 29)
Of all the teams in rebuilding mode, the New York Jets have the most realistic shot at a breakout season. The skill-position group is brimming with elite young talent, the offensive line is rock solid, and the defense addressed most of its issues in the D-Line and secondary. Everything will depend on Zach Wilson, but he improved enough down the stretch to make me a believer in this team's future. If he flops again this year, however, people will start questioning whether or not he's really a franchise QB.
24. Washington Commanders
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +7000 (No. 22)
25. Carolina Panthers
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +10000 (T-No. 25)
26. New York Giants
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +8000 (T-No. 23)
27. Jacksonville Jaguars
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +10000 (T-No. 25)
28. Seattle Seahawks
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +10000 (T-No. 25)
29. Detroit Lions
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +15000 (T-No. 29)
30. Houston Texans
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +22000 (No. 32)
31. Atlanta Falcons
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +18000 (No. 31)
32. Chicago Bears
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII: +10000 (T-No. 25)
General manager Ryan Poles inherited a disaster of a roster, but he might've gone a bit overboard in trying to wipe the slate clean. Justin Fields is working with the worst supporting cast in football, and it's not like the defense is all that great, either. Creating flexibility for 2023 is all well and good, but punting on year two like this might significantly hinder Fields' development.
