Myles Murphy NFL Combine Results, Measurements and 40-Yard Dash Time (Updated)

Updated:

Clemson's Myles Murphy is in contention to be the first pass rusher off the board during the 2023 NFL Draft. As a result, many are interested to see how he tests at the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine.

Here's everything you need to know about Murphy's NFL combine performance, measurements and results.

Myles Murphy Height, Weight & Hand Size

Myles Murphy officially measured up at 6'5" and 258 pounds with 8 1/2" hands and 33 3/4" arms at the 2023 NFL scouting combine. This has him significantly lighter than the 275 pounds he was listed at through his final collegiate season.

Myles Murphy 40-Yard Dash Time

Murphy claims he ran a 4.51 40-yard dash back in high school, which would be a great mark for a defensive end. Projections don't give him that much credit, though, as they peg him to run in the low-4.6s. Keep in mind six defensive linemen clocked in ahead of the 4.6-second mark in 2022.

Update: Murphy has decided not to workout nor run the 40 at the combine. Instead he will wait for Clemson's pro day on March 14.

Myles Murphy 3-Cone Time

Myles Murphy opted not to run the 3-cone (in addition to the other drills) at the combine, instead waiting for Clemson's pro day on March 14th. We'll update this story when his pro day results are available.

Myles Murphy Scouting Report & Draft Stock

Myles Murphy is expected to follow in the footsteps of former Clemson defensive standouts like Isaiah Simmons and Clelin Ferrell as a first-round NFL Draft selection. The Georgia native shined along the line in each of his three years as a Tiger, logging 36.0 sacks and 6 forced fumbles in 35 games played. Murphy will need to improve on his leverage to excel at the next level, but his ability to make adjustments and get to the quarterback are undeniable. He has a shot to be a top-10 pick.
