List of NFL Bye Weeks by Team for 2022 Fantasy Football Season Week 11

Updated:

The 2022 NFL season has officially reached Week 11, and that means bye weeks are in full swing. There are several teams that won't be in action this weekend, removing plenty of important players from fantasy football lineups.

Here's everything fantasy managers need to know about upcoming byes in Week 11.

What Does Bye Mean in Fantasy Football?

A bye in football is when a team doesn't have a game scheduled for that week. This off time is crucial for squads given the long grind that is an NFL season. Having a week away from practice and game prep gives players time to rest or heal from any injuries they're dealing with. It also allows coaches to take stock of their rosters and consider implementing any changes for the following game.

Since players on byes don't have a game that week, they need to be removed from fantasy football starting lineups and placed on the bench. This has to be manually done, though. Otherwise those inactive players will stay in lineups and post zero points for teams given they're not participating in any matchup.

What NFL Teams Have a Bye This Week?

In Week 11 of the 2022 season, four teams will be on byes. They are the Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars.

That means important fantasy football players like Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Jeff Wilson, Kenneth Walker, Tyler Lockett, Geno Smith, Tom Brady, Leonard Fournette, Mike Evans, Christian Kirk, Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne will all be sidelined. Managers need to place these players on their benches to avoid getting zeroes from inactive players.

Fantasy Bye Week Strategy

Given the amount of fantasy-relevant players off in Week 11, managers may find themselves scrambling for replacements, There's still plenty of time to figure out your lineups, though.

The waive wire is the prime destination to go for bye-week fillers. Running backs rostered in 50% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues right now include Latavius Murray (26%), Jaylen Warren (26%) and Isiah Pacheco (25%). For anyone needing to fill a hole at RB, these players should be top targets.

Wide receiver options in Week 11 include Michael Gallup (42%), Terrace Marshall Jr. (18%) and Christian Watson (10%). For tight end, streaming options are available, including the likes of Hayden Hurst (48%), Foster Moreau (17%) and Robert Tonyan (46%). The same applies to quarterbacks, including Marcus Mariota (33%), Jacoby Brissett (15%) and Andy Dalton (14%).

Managers shouldn't just rely on picking up fill-in players for that week, though. It's important to know your key players' schedules and plan ahead if they have upcoming byes. That way you can add players now that won't be as in-demand if you need them for Week 12 or beyond. This is how smart managers get a leg up on their leaguemates.

How Many Bye Weeks in NFL?

Each NFL team has just one bye week during the 2022 season. Some happen to fall earlier in the year, while others can be much later. It's important to know when your starting players will be off in order to make moves that will keep you winning despite their absences.
