Though not exactly on the same level as a no-hitter, it's always noteworthy when someone hits for the cycle in baseball. The 2022 MLB season has already featured a few players accomplish this rare feat, with the St. Louis Cardinals' Nolan Arenado joining the exclusive list on Friday night.

Yes, Arenado became the fifth player during the 2022 MLB season to hit for the cycle. He joined the club with a standout evening against the Philadelphia Phillies, notching his second career cycle.

Who Has Hit for the Cycle in 2022?

Two players preceded the Angels' first baseman in recording a cycle this season. Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich kicked things off on May 11 when he collected a cycle against the Cincinnati Reds. He was followed by New York Mets third baseman Eduardo Escobar, who recorded a single, double, triple and HR against the San Diego Padres earlier this month on June 6.

Yelich's cycle was actually the third of his career, which made his just the sixth player in MLB history to record that many. Escobar and Walsh both recorded the first cycles of their respective careers this season.
