The Lions enter the contest having dropped three straight games, whereas the Cowboys will get a boost with quarterback Dak Prescott's return from injury.

Can the Lions snap their losing streak by winning their first road game of the year? Or will the Cowboys lengthen their opponent's skid by walking out victorious in Prescott's return?

The Lions enter this matchup after having a week to rest due to their bye. They're hoping that the time off did some good considering that they were shut out 29-0 by the New England Patriots in their last outing.

Unfortunately for Dan Campbell's team, the Lions must face another tough defense this week. The Cowboys have the third-best scoring defense in the NFL this season, allowing just 16.3 points per game. Though the offense hasn't been eye-popping, the unit will improve now that Prescott is back under center.

With how bad the Lion's defense has been (giving up 24-plus points every game), it's hard to trust the road team. The Cowboys have a lot left to prove, but Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and co. shouldn't have any issues carving up Detroit's defense right out of the gate.

In addition to taking the Cowboys at -6.5 on the spread, I'm always backing the total hitting over 48.5 points. The average total of a Lions game this season has been 62 points. With the offensive pieces on both sides of the field, I can see that trend continuing.
