Two experts project him to go in the top five, to the Sacramento Kings at No. 4 or the Detroit Pistons at No. 5. The Trail Blazers' fit at No. 7 is one of the more intriguing, pointing to Murray's ability to immediately contribute at the NBA level. This is what Portland's front office will look for after dealing CJ McCollum and needing another counterpart to the aging Damian Lillard.

Murray nearly doubled every major statistical category in taking on a leadership role for the Hawkeyes during his sophomore campaign. He exploded for 23.5 points per game, adding 8.7 rebonds and some defensive prowess (1.3 steals, 1.9 blocks). The young forward scored at will, flirting with a 60% shooting percentage and showed a propensity to knock down shots from deep.
