Justin Reid Tweets Salty Response After Losing to Bengals
Updated:
Kansas City Chiefs safety Justin Reid stole headlines during the lead-up to his team's battle with the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13. That's because of some unapologetic trash talk pointed at Cincinnati's Hayden Hurst and Tee Higgins.
Unfortunately for Reid, the Bengals let their play do the talking and walked away with the victory. That clearly didn't sit well with the Chiefs' safety, who tweeted a salty response after the loss.
Reid claims that he was still right about the shade he tried to throw at Hurst and Higgins. While Hurst didn't have a huge impact on the box score (2 catches, 12 yards), Higgins pulled in a TD grab as one of his three receptions.
The fact that the Chiefs lost makes this a very bad look for Reid. If Kansas City had won, perhaps he has some ground to stand on. Maybe he's just mad about the Ja'Marr Chase taunting penalty that was clearly a response to his petty words?
As NFL insider Dov Kleiman points out, the Bengals should just watch the Week 13 film to realize they've got the last laugh. He posted a video of the game's highlights, which includes three ugly missed tackles from Reid throughout the contest.
